General Entry Requirements
Applicants seeking admission to any of our Degree and Diploma programmes must satisfy the following minimum requirements, in line with guidelines from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants - Diploma
- Credit (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and three (3) other elective subjects.
- Aggregate of thirty-six (36) or better (WASSCE) is highly competitive.
- Applicants Must be between 16 to 35 years old.
- Foreign applicants should have their certificates and transcripts interpreted by GTEC and WAEC.
WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants - Degree
- An aggregate score twenty (20) for science students and eighteen (18) for non-science students, comprising grades from A1 to C6 in three core subjects, i.e., English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and three elective subjects (A1 to C6).
- Applicants Must be between 16 to 35 years old.
- Foreign applicants should have their certificates and transcripts interpreted by GTEC and WAEC.
- 2-Year Top-Up: For Candidates holding a Diploma in Registered General Nursing.
- 4-Year Programme: For WASSCE/SSCE or its equivalent entrants who will complete the full curriculum from the start.
Post-Basic Degree Applicants
- Applicants should be medically fit and not more than 40 years old.
- Passion for specialized area of nursing care and commitment to serve in Ghana's health system.
- Diploma in Registered General Nursing, Diploma in Registered Midwifery and Registered Mental Health Nursing.
- Completed one-year Mandatory Rotation/Internship/National Service.
- Two (2) years work experience.
- You must possess a valid Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the Nursing and Midwifery Council Ghana (NMC).
General Conditions
- Applicants must be Ghanaian citizens or hold valid residency/visa status for international applicants.
- Minimum age of 16 years by the start of the academic year.
- Must pass a medical examination conducted by an accredited health facility.
- Successful applicants will be invited for a structured interview / aptitude assessment.
- All documents must be certified true copies where applicable.
- Admission is subject to availability of placements and verification of results with WAEC.
